Basketball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four contests, Monrovia finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 70-23 defeat at the hands of the Castle Knights. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Harper Rahn, Camryn Wolfe, and Grace Deaton posted five points each. Zoie Walls held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.

With the loss, Monrovia broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Castle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Monrovia has already played their next contest, a 59-53 defeat against Vincennes Rivet on the 28th. As for Castle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-42 victory against Corydon Central on the 28th.
