Basketball Recap: Togiak Takes a Loss

Togiak's game on Saturday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Koliganek Huskies. Togiak hasn't had much luck with Koliganek recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Koliganek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gusty Tunguing IV, who posted 30 points. Tunguing IV's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Asante Barnes was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Togiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Koliganek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Togiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Koliganek, they have already played their next game, a 76-56 win against Chief Ivan Blunka on the 8th.
