The Morris Redskins will take on the Reed-Custer Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morris is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Morris' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Rochelle. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cami Pfeifer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ella Urbasek, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rochelle only posted a batting average of .118.

Meanwhile, Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Coal City, falling 13-4.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Morris, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Morris was able to grind out a solid victory over Reed-Custer in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. Do the Redskins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
