Baseball Recap: Ingleside Comes Up Short

Ingleside and Brazosport squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ingleside had to settle for second. They came up short against the Exporters, falling 20-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Exporters this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-4 loss on Friday.

Jorge Vazquez and Marcus Barron did some serious damage despite the final result: Vazquez went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Barron went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was Vazquez's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Ingleside and nudges their season record down to 15-17-2. As for Brazosport, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Ingleside nor Brazosport have any future games scheduled.
