Basketball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville lost against Peoria Notre Dame back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Danville Vikings were beaten by the Peoria Notre Dame Irish 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Irish are ranked 12th).

Danville's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Coming up, Danville will face off against Champaign Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-14 victory against Centennial on the 10th.
