Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mona Shores). They blew past the Caledonia Fighting Scots 21-7 on Friday. With that victory, the Sailors brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Mona Shores got a massive performance out of Jayden Ammeraal, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave Ammeraal a new career-high. Julian Thielbar was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

Mona Shores always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mona Shores' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Caledonia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
