It was a good run, but the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 68-46 walloping at the hands of United Faith Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Veritas Christian Academy has suffered since December 4, 2023.
Veritas Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Shea Nichols, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, and Sloan Nichols who scored nine points. Brooke Miller was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven assists and two steals.
United Faith Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jada Richardson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. Richardson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Bell, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Veritas Christian Academy's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-6. As for United Faith Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.
Veritas Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Liberty Preparatory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Preparatory Christian will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. United Faith Christian Academy will take on Legion Collegiate Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Legion Collegiate Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
