Football Game Recap: Pisgah vs. Polk County

Pisgah put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Polk County 54-6. Pisgah have a history of success against Polk County, winning their last head-to-head 49-28.

Polk County's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Cameron Blackwell, who rushed for 83 yards and 1 touchdown. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Mitchell Yoder, who racked up 10 tackles.

The victory bumped Pisgah's record up to 5-1. The defeat dropped Polk County's record to 1-4.

Pisgah will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Smoky Mountain in two weeks at 7:30 PM. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. Polk County will stay at home next week against East Rutherford at 7:30 PM. Polk County stagger into the matchup hobbled by four consecutive losses while East Rutherford skip in buoyed by five consecutive wins.
