Baseball Recap: Foothill Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Foothill had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday.

Kyle Telson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Aidan Colburn was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will take on Yucaipa in a tournament on Thursday. As for Murrieta Valley, they will head out to square off against Pacifica at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
