Football Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Fort Walton Beach Vikings

The Destin Sharks will square off against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Destin's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Booker T. Washington offense got past them. Destin and Booker T. Washington were almost perfectly matched up on Tuesday, but Destin suffered a 31-30 defeat.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fort Walton Beach's offense. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crestview on Tuesday.

Destin's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Fort Walton Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Destin lost to Fort Walton Beach at home by a decisive 19-0 margin in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Destin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
