Soccer Game Preview: Sandpoint vs. Coeur d'Alene

The Sandpoint Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Coeur d'Alene Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sandpoint's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Lewiston by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Coeur d'Alene hadn't done well against Lake City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Coeur d'Alene, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lake City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isaac Lowder (2), Kohen Pintler, and Blake Baune.

Coeur d'Alene has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those seven matchups. As for Sandpoint, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1.

Sandpoint beat Coeur d'Alene 3-1 in their previous matchup last Saturday. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
