Southwood dropped their record down to 16-10 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 11-7 to the Adams Central Flying Jets. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flying Jets earlier this season, when they won 9-7.

Izzy Ashba made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As for Adams Central, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

On Adams Central's side, the team relied heavily on Izzy Isch, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Melina Peralez, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Southwood and Adams Central are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will challenge Wes-Del at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Adams Central, they will take on South Adams at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Starfires will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Flying Jets surely won't give up without a fight.
