San Clemente had won four straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 16-9 to make it five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the El Toro Chargers, sneaking past 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Tritons in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won five in a row.

San Clemente saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Erspamer, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for El Toro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since February 28th.

On El Toro's side, they got a good showing from Hudson Robin, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Robin didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

San Clemente will have a chance to go back-to-back against El Toro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
