Basketball Recap: Logan Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Logan won the last time they faced Santa Rosa and things went their way on Saturday too. The Longhorns secured a 79-73 W over the Lions. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Longhorns' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Lions are ranked 26th).

Logan pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Santa Rosa, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Texline at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Santa Rosa, they will be home for the holidays to greet Penasco at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
