Softball Game Preview: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Cajon Cowboys

The Redlands East Valley Wildcats will square off against the Cajon Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redlands East Valley will be strutting in after a win while Cajon will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Redlands East Valley turned things around against Redlands on Thursday. They blew past the Terriers 12-3.

Piper Silvestre looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Redlands East Valley got a massive performance out of Juliana Legaspi, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Legaspi has posted since back in March. Grace Twente was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Redlands East Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Cajon suffered their biggest defeat since February 27th on Thursday. They came up short against Beaumont, falling 13-6. The Cowboys have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Cajon's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Redlands East Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
