Basketball Recap: Shields Valley Takes a Loss

Shields Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and the Sweet Grass County Sheepherders didn't end well, with the Shields Valley Rebels falling 57-38. The Rebels lost against the Sheepherders in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-23 score last time.

Shields Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Sweet Grass County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Shields Valley will take on Gardiner at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Shields Valley is facing Gardiner at the right time seeing as Gardiner is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Sweet Grass County, they will challenge Shepherd at 4:00 p.m. on February 8th. Shepherd will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Sweet Grass County surely won't give up without a fight.
