Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Lansingburgh

Lansingburgh and Taconic Hills pushed the score to 14-8 the last time they played Taconic Hills, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Knights walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Titans. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Guiliana Patregnani, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Taconic Hills off the board. Patregnani has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyleigh Wilmott, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Anna Patregnani, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lansingburgh pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Taconic Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lansingburgh will take on Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taconic Hills, they will challenge Germantown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
