Basketball Recap: Wake County Academy HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Wake County Academy HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-37 to the Combine Academy Varsity Goats. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Wake County Academy HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madden Smith posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. E Williams was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Wake County Academy HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Combine Academy Varsity, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

As of now, neither Wake County Academy HomeSchool nor Combine Academy Varsity have any future games scheduled.
