After a string of nine wins, Westminster Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to the Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 6th.

Gigi Khoury was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7-1. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Westminster Christian will host American at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Warriors have won six straight at home, while the Patriots won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), they will head out to square off against American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Stallions 3.4, the Patriots 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
