Ashtyn Rogers made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Hayden Williamson and Layla Lahr did most of the damage at the plate: Williamson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Lahr scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Williamson a new career-high in RBI (three). Adeline Alcantar was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, falling 16-1.

Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, their record is now 10-5.
