Highmore/Harrold was handed a 34-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Philip Scotties 45-42. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 67-64 win the Scotties walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Philip lost, don't look at Drew Terkildsen. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Terkildsen has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Fayth Martin, who posted ten points.

Highmore/Harrold's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Philip, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Highmore/Harrold will be playing at home against Hitchcock-Tulare at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Philip, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jones County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
