League recap: Sinnott dominating on the mound for Liberty

Southwest Yosemite league recap: 5/22/13

Southwest Yosemite's top pitcher this week was Liberty's Christian Sinnott. Over the past week, he had two wins and ten Ks.

Top honors in the league this week go to Stockdale, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Mustangs beat Bullard 1-0 and Clovis East 5-0.

Frontier put six runners on via walks this week, fewest in the league, but Centennial's staff still boasts the league's best control, having issued only 81 bases on balls over 181 total innings.

There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Tyson Brewer, who collected three hits in six at bats for a .500 average.

Gabe Arteaga, Andrew Daughtery, Harrison Smith, Tyson Brewer, Ross Puskarich and Justin Nieto hit home runs this week.



Allan Winans threw a shutout as he led the Titans to victory over Clovis West, 2-0, on Wednesday. He struck out seven, allowing two hits.
