Volleyball Recap: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City won the last time they faced Mulberry Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bobcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Aces. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12.

Allison Shields paced Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's offense, picking up seven kills. Shields got some help from Gracie Wright and her 14 assists. Wright was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Mulberry Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Farina South Central on the 29th. As for Mulberry Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Patoka on the 27th.
