Baseball Recap: Rampart Triumphs

Rampart lost to Lewis-Palmer back in April of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Rams walked away with a 7-2 win over the Rangers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Luke Jackson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brayden Valdez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Liam Martin, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Rampart now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lewis-Palmer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Air Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kadets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.13 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
