Southington had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Lewis Mills Spartans 66-30. The Blue Knights pushed the score to 54-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had little chance of recovering from.

Southington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Blanchard, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. Blanchard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Lily Cooper was another key player, putting up four points along with ten steals and eight assists.

Southington's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Lewis Mills, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Southington will face off against Rocky Hill at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Lewis Mills, they will venture away from home to challenge Tolland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lewis Mills is facing Tolland at the right time seeing as Tolland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
