Recap: Rye Thunderbolts vs. Swink Lions
The Rye Thunderbolts lost against the Swink Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rye received a tough blow as they fell 35-20 to Swink. Rye has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rye's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailey George, who scored 7 points.
Swink can attribute much of their success to Hunter Wallace, who scored 11 points. Briana McElroy was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Rye's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Swink, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Rye will stay at home for another game and welcome Rocky Ford at 4:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Swink, they will square off against Monte Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Monte Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
