Softball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clark Montessori last Tuesday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Knights lost 16-2 to the Colerain Cardinals on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilyanah Santel, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Colerain, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northwest will square off against Mariemont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colerain, they will face off against Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
