Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Ridgeview had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Liberty Minutemen 65-47 on Tuesday. The Wolfpack pushed the score to 56-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Minutemen cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Shania Brown, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. Brown has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Moriah Tate, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Ridgeview is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. Liberty's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-5.

Coming up, Ridgeview will take on Central Wise on Friday. Central Wise will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Ridgeview surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
