Soccer Game Preview: Hertford County vs. Holmes

Hertford County is 0-10 against Holmes since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bears will host the Aces at 5:00 p.m. Hertford County has given up an average of 9.2 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Hertford County's offense. They lost 9-0 to First Flight on Monday. While losing is never fun, Hertford County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while First Flight are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Holmes came up short against Manteo on Monday and fell 3-1. Makayla Norman was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Holmes' goal came courtesy of Aubryn Bunch, who's now up to 37 this season.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Holmes, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7-3.
