Volleyball Recap: Western Alamance Beats Providence Grove for Their Third Straight Win

Western Alamance waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Providence Grove Patriots.

While Western Alamance won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Providence Grove still got an impressive performance from Cheyenne Collins, who had 12 assists and two aces. Collins is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Western Alamance's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Providence Grove, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will head out to square off against Rockingham County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Providence Grove, they will face off against Jordan-Matthews at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
