Softball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield suffered their biggest defeat since April 17th on Saturday. They lost 9-1 to the Valley Indians.

Fairfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelsie Crowder, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 19-9-1. As for Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season.

Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they will take on Garaway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
