Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Takes a Loss

Cripple Creek-Victor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moffat Cowboys. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys earlier this season, when they won 39-30.

Moffat found their leader in sophomore Preston Heater, who posted 21 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Heater's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Cripple Creek-Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Moffat, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Cripple Creek-Victor is taking a road trip to take on Creede at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moffat, they will take on Aguilar at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
