Football Recap: American Heritage Skates Past Bayside with Ease + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but American Heritage had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Bayside Bears, posting a 35-7 victory. The Stallions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Marcus Stracke had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 212 yards and four TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (169.5). Zachary Schwartz was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

American Heritage's run defense was locked in: Bayside could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. While five picked up at least two total tackles, Miles Rose stood above the rest. He picked up 93 receiving yards and one score. American Heritage didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.5.

American Heritage's defense didn't let Mason Leggins, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Bayside's QB won't forget Tyler Kovic anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

American Heritage's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Bayside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

American Heritage will take on Satellite at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Stallions 13.6, the Scorpions 7.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Bayside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
