Pocahontas is a perfect 3-0 against Gosnell since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Redskins will square off against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Pocahontas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Pocahontas came out on top against Highland on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run fourth inning. The Redskins blew past the Rebels 20-4. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Violet Lynch, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Emma Conway was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Westside typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Gosnell proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since March 11th.
Avery McHan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sarah Thompson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Gosnell and bumps their season record up to 10-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Pocahontas, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Everything went Pocahontas' way against Gosnell when the teams last played back in April of 2017, as Pocahontas made off with a 13-0 victory. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
