Basketball Recap: Knox Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jayla Patrick and Riley Taylor

Knox lost against West Central back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redskins took a hard 56-41 fall against the Trojans. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Knox had strong showings from Riley Taylor, who went 5-for-7 en route to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, and Jayla Patrick, who posted 14 points and five boards. That was a full 39% of the Redskins' points, marking the third time in a row Taylor has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Knox now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Knox will take on Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Redskins their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for West Central, they will square off against Morgan Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
