Football Recap: Nauset Regional Falls to Stoneham in First Game of Season

Nauset Regional unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Stoneham Spartans on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Spartans are ranked 40th).

Coming up, Nauset Regional will take on Oakmont Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stoneham, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Arlington at 6:30 p.m.
