After each having a week off, the St. Mary's Rams and the Jesuit Marauders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in St. Mary's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Jesuit has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, St. Mary's earned a 54-41 win over Lincoln. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Trojans are ranked 235th).

Jaden Galvan looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 258 yards and one TD while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt, and also punching in one rushing score.

St. Mary's was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 310 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Jesuit made sure to put some points up on the board against Whitney last Friday. The Marauders blew past the Wildcats 38-17. Considering the Marauders have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary's better keep an eye on Steven Greene Jr.. He was instrumental in Jesuit's win, rushing for 107 yards and one score. Those 107 rushing yards gave Greene Jr. a new career-high. Miles Hubbard was in the mix too, providing Jesuit with two touchdowns.

Jesuit's defense made their presence known, laying out Carson Floyd three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Samuel Oxsen, Demare Moragne, and Diego Foley, who each picked up one sack apiece.

St. Mary's record is now 8-2. As for Jesuit, their record now sits at 6-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. St. Mary's has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 191.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jesuit struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 184.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
