Recap: Brewer Patriots vs. Priceville Bulldogs
The Brewer Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Priceville at home and fell 58-31. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brewer in their matchups with Priceville: they've now lost eight in a row.
Brewer used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Chloe Romine,
Keylyn Stapler, and
Lilly Grace Yancey posted seven points each.
Bailey Hale took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Priceville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brewer will face off against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Whitesburg Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Brewer is ranked 172nd). Priceville and East Lawrence will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. East Lawrence will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
