Softball Game Preview: Hayward Hurricanes vs. Unity Eagles

The Hayward Hurricanes will face off against the Unity Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Hayward's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Unity has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Thursday, Hayward didn't have quite enough to beat St. Croix Falls and fell 6-4.

Meanwhile, Unity lost 11-2 to Cameron on Thursday.

Unity saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Peterson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Peterson has hit this season.

Unity's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Hayward, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Everything went Hayward's way against Unity in their previous matchup back in April, as Hayward made off with a 9-1 victory. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
