Basketball Recap: Lawrence's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

Lawrence came into Friday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Skowhegan River Hawks by a score of 57-45 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the River Hawks back in January, they had to take a 63-55 loss.

Lawrence's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14. As for Skowhegan, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

When Lawrence and Skowhegan next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lawrence will face off against Cony and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Skowhegan will try to stop Messalonskee's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
