Asheboro won the last time they faced Wheatmore and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Comets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Comets.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Asheboro took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-13.

Lia George paced Asheboro's offense, picking up ten kills. George got some help from Eva Vuncannon and her 20 assists. Emma Ingold controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Asheboro's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wheatmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Asheboro will square off against Eastern Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheatmore, they will face off against Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
