Volleyball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview lost against Millard South back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1.

Riley Dungan paced Westview's offense, picking up seven kills. Dungan got some help from Rylee Meysenburg and her 14 assists. Kaylee Cornish controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Millard South can attribute much of their success to Emeline Myers, who had 31 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Myers has posted over her last seven matchups.

Westview has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season. As for Millard South, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millard South, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Omaha Westside on the 22nd.
