Baseball Recap: Broadway Takes a Loss

Broadway came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Rockingham Eagles, falling 20-5. The Gobblers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Broadway's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for East Rockingham, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Broadway will square off against rival Spotswood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Rockingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.9, the Knights 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
