Basketball Recap: South Stokes Takes a Loss

South Stokes lost against Reagan back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The South Stokes Sauras fell to the Reagan Raiders 45-40. The Sauras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reagan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alissa Young, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and five steals. Avery Corbin was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

South Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Reagan, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Coming up, South Stokes will be playing in front of their home fans against Starmount at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reagan, they will host Mount Tabor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Reagan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
