Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bunker Hill can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 49-48 to the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins. The Minutemen just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bunker Hill lost, don't look at Cole Yates. Despite the final result, he posted 25 points. That's the most points Yates has posted since back in January.

David Carroll continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Father McGivney Catholic, en route to 18 points and three steals. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Barone, who earned seven points and seven rebounds.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Father McGivney Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-17.
