Baseball Game Preview: Kings Christian Crusaders vs. Alpaugh Buffalos

The Kings Christian Crusaders will venture away from home to square off against the Alpaugh Buffalos at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Kings Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Farmersville and fell 9-8.

Jasiah Zamaripa was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Ortega, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Alpaugh fell victim to Legacy Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 18-0 to the Lions.

Kings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Alpaugh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Kings Christian came up short against Alpaugh when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-2. Can Kings Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
