Volleyball Recap: Oak Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Oak Hills lost against Yucaipa back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 3-0.

Oak Hills was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Oak Hills lost, don't look at Sami Semaia. Despite the final result, she had seven aces, five kills, and three digs. Semaia is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Yucaipa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

The future could be bright for both Oak Hills and Yucaipa: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Bulldogs will look to extend Barstow's four-game losing streak when they meet at 5:15 p.m. on September 3. Meanwhile, Yucaipa will try to hand Temescal Canyon their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
