Basketball Recap: Leechburg Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Leechburg can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Propel Braddock Hills with a 51-47 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leechburg was led to victory by Rocco Vigna and Chase Henry. Vigna went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points, while Henry went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave Vigna a new career-high. Brady Rollinger was another key player, putting up 12 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Leechburg will welcome Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Propel Braddock Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winchester Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
