The Southeast Cyclones will face off against the Little Snake River Rattlers at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Little Snake River took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Southeast, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Southeast beat Niobrara County 51-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cyclones.

Southeast relied on the efforts of Ayden Desmond, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds, and TJ Moats, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. The game was Desmond's sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Beaux Shimic, who posted eight points along with five assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Little Snake River can now relate to. They took a hard 52-34 fall against the Panthers on Saturday. The Rattlers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
Southeast will need to focus on slowing down Marcos Marquez, one of several Little Snake River players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 56% from the field on his way to 11 points and four steals. Marquez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Granit Ready, who earned nine points.
Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Little Snake River, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southeast has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Little Snake River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Southeast didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Little Snake River in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win.
