Baseball Recap: Kennard-Dale Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Kennard-Dale owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They came out on top against the Middletown Blue Raiders by a score of 4-0. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory the Blue Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Kennard-Dale let Micah Smith and Henry Beighley run wild. Smith went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Beighley went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits Beighley has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win (which was Kennard-Dale's eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Middletown, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Kennard-Dale and Middletown should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Rams (ranked 93rd) will meet York Suburban (ranked 567th) at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Middletown will challenge Milton Hershey at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (195 vs. 561).
